Mauricio is an investment strategist and advisor with over 20 years of experience in climate-smart agriculture, circular economy models, and sustainable agrifood systems. He has successfully underwritten over USD 2 billion in investments across more than 30 countries, bridging institutional capital with real asset projects that deliver measurable environmental and social impact.
As the founder of Big Valley GmbH, Mauricio advises DFIs, UN agencies, foundations, and private funds on designing scalable financial solutions that align regenerative agriculture, waste-to-energy models, and nature-based investments with market-based returns. He currently leads the development of the Ag360 Climate Fund, a blended finance vehicle recognized by the governments of Canada and Luxembourg for its innovative approach to investing in circular agribusiness.
Previously, Mauricio spent 14 years at responsAbility Investments AG, where he led the sustainable food debt portfolio and pioneered the Climate-Smart Food Systems Fund—the first blended finance vehicle to integrate scientific climate evidence into investment decision-making.

Will is a Junior Partner at Big Valley and has been with the firm since its inception. He contributes to the firm's investment advisory activities, with a strong focus carbon dioxide removal (CDR) in agricultural value chains and fund design.
Will has contributed to several sector-leading publications, including Unlocking the Future of Climate-Smart Agriculture, supported by the Stripe Climate Fellows program. He has played a central role in shaping Big Valley’s flagship vehicle, the Ag360 Climate Fund, and supports the firm’s broader efforts in blended finance and impact measurement.
Prior to Big Valley, Will worked in carbon investment and impact fund design at responsAbility Investments AG and Removall Carbon. He previously worked on Google's Global Business Strategy team and co-founded a sustainable luxury clothing company focused on ethical production.
Will holds a BA in International Relations from Columbia University and an MSc in International Energy from Sciences Po Paris.
