Investment strategist and advisor with over 20 years of experience in climate-smart agriculture, circular economy models, and sustainable agrifood systems. Mauricio has underwritten over USD 2 billion in investments across 30+ countries, bridging institutional capital with real asset projects that deliver measurable environmental and social impact.
As the founder of Big Valley, he advises DFIs, UN agencies, philanthropist foundations, and fund managers on structuring scalable financial solutions.
Previously, he spent 14 years at responsAbility Investments AG, where he led the sustainable food debt portfolio and co-developed blended finance agriculture funds that integrate scientific climate evidence into investment decision-making.

Will is a specialist in carbon dioxide removal (CDR) and climate finance, with a focus on integrating scientific and technological innovation into investment design. As Junior Partner at Big Valley GmbH, he contributes to the firm’s investment advisory work, with a lead role in the development of the Ag360 Climate Fund.
His expertise spans fund structuring, CDR integration in agricultural value chains, and climate impact measurement. He has co-authored several sector publications, including Unlocking the Future of Climate-Smart Agriculture, developed through the Stripe Climate Fellows program.
Prior to Big Valley, Will worked in carbon investment and fund design at responsAbility Investments AG and Removall Carbon, and earlier in global strategy at Google. He also co-founded a sustainable fashion brand focused on ethical production.
He holds degrees from Columbia University (BA, International Relations) and Sciences Po Paris (MSc, International Energy).
